Welcome back to Coffee Chats! I have absolutely loved your feedback and responses from the first installment last week! If you’ve been asking some questions in comments and DMs I promise I will get to them – but keep them coming! I am loving this added means of communication with all of you and want to keep up the momentum, but I can’t do that without you.
Recent DM Questions
Q: Loved your bathroom organization video and post! Anything on jewelry organization? I’m at a loss since moving recently!
A: My jewelry organization (or should I say, lack of) has been driving me INSANE lately! Fortunately I found an amazing jewelry organizer on Amazon and the other day and I made a TikTok to show you all the great features. If you’re looking for a smaller scale jewelry organizer, check out this one or this one!
Q: I read your post about celery juice and am going to make my own, which bottles are you using in your post?
A: Oh I love my celery juice – thanks for the reminder I need to make some more! If you’ve not checked out my post about the benefits of celery juice, don’t miss it – click here. And these bottles have been wonderful for storage – plus they come with various lid options if you need to use it for other purposes.
Q: Thanks for sharing your TULA discount code! What are your favorites that I need to try? I’m thinking of getting the glow getters kit?
A: I have to be careful when I go on the TULA website because I can do some major damage. I just shared my favorite TULA products here. They carry such quality products and I love trying new ones every few months. The next time you shop with TULA, be sure to use JENNIFER15 for 15% off!
Q: Swimwear and kiddie pool recommendations? Going to have a vacation right in our backyard!
A: Fortunately, the San Francisco weather has been much more summer-y this year so we are spending lots of outside time with Harrison! We got this pool – and chose to get one that we could fit into with him! I have been living in swimwear on the weekend because Harrison LOVES the pool so much. Here are my favorites from Amazon.
Q: What are you doing for childcare right now?
A: I know all my fellow parents can relate to this loaded question right now. To be candid, we’ve been winging it at home for the last handful of months since COVID. While it was so wonderful to have extra time together at home, it just wasn’t working anymore for us to work opposite schedules with Harrison getting so active. However, we recently started with a nanny who’s similarly sheltering in place has a baby similar in age to Harrison. It’s been going great so far! We definitely needed the help so it has been a major win that we’ve been able to integrate another family for baby social interaction while both keeping safe at home.
Q: I really love watching and reading about your organization and house projects! Any more on the horizon?
A: I feel like we are constantly working on something at the house these days! Prior to all of my quarantine organizing, we did a really extensive clean and clear out of items and areas that had been previously neglected. There are so many areas of the home that are forgotten about when it comes to cleaning, so I am really glad we took the time to tackle this list!
Q: Have you been watching any new shows lately that you’d recommend?
A: I wish I had more time to watch some recommendations I’ve been given, but such is life! For something lighthearted and funny, we’ve been really loving Schitt’s Creek (did you see HOW many Emmy’s they’re nominated for?!) and for something more on the serious side, Killing Eve is really enjoyable. At the start of California’s shelter-in-place order, I made a list of all of the Netflix shows I wanted to conquer. It’s safe to say we have a long way to go but we’re in it for the long haul!
Q: Can you share some of your recent online shopping purchases?
A: When there was nothing better to do, I went to town on online retail therapy! I actually bought some really functional products like new blue-light blocking glasses and some laundry room storage. On the blog, I’ve also been trying to shed light on some really great black-owned Etsy shops that I’ve been supporting lately.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback from the first part of Coffee Chats! I am really excited about this new endeavor and would love to answer any questions you have for me, so keep my inbox full!
