Welcome back for week #3 of Coffee Chats! You have all been asking such great questions so please, keep them coming! I am rounding up some of my favorite and most frequently asked questions via DMs and texts from the week (you can text me at 415-360-7799!) and answering them for you now. In these Coffee Chats we will navigate everything from skincare to mom life and everything in between!
Recent DM Questions
Q: You shared the sheets everyone loves at the Tahoe A-Frame in stories but I missed it, can you link again?
A: These are the sheets everyone loves who stays at our Airbnb and they are super popular on amazon too with 105,000 reviews! We couldn’t believe how amazing the quality was for the $37 price point and regularly get asked where they are from!
Q: Are you going to do a room tour of Harrison’s room and the house you’re in now?
A: If that is something people are interested in yes! We just got this beautiful Eames style lounge chair for our living room and would love to show you more of our home since we moved in. We have tons of walkthroughs of the A-Frame showing our decor of choice, our renovation reveal but can definitely do more here at home!
Q: How do you stay on top of everything with a baby at home, working full time, and under quarantine? I’m losing my mind over here and need some words of encouragement!
A: Oh girl it’s a struggle for me too. We’ve been winging it solo with Harrison at home and I give so much credit to those parents still managing without child care. It’s a battle everyday to feel like you’re being productive with your work, being a good mom, and making sure to turn the wet laundry over to the dryer. When Kevin has Harrison and I have “free time” I make sure to spend it wisely. I have religiously used this timer cube game-ify my time. Set the timer for 15 minutes and I’m going to bang out this project task or blog post. Set the timer for 30 minutes and I’m going to make dinner and simultaneously load the dishwasher. I also have to WRITE IT DOWN to make it happen. I’m a total paper planner user and this one is the best that I’ve found over 15+ years of using one. Tuning into a podcast that will help motivate me has been key during “down” time or planning periods for me. Prior to having Harrison, I ventured on a journey of trying to wake up earlier and be more productive. I documented some of my efforts here!
Q: How old is Harrison now?! Can you please share him more on stories? Does he have any teeth yet?! #babyfever
A: Ahh yes I will, I’m always trying to find a balance between sharing too much baby and not enough! He’s now turning 8 months and I can’t believe it but we’ve already got his two front teeth starting to come in. He has been drooling non-stop, and we’re going through teething toys like crazy, so hopefully they pop through soon! As he keeps getting older it’s becoming more fun to do new things like trying different foods. He’s at the point now where we can’t eat anything without him wanting some too!
Q: I love the Amazon round-up posts! Can you do some more of them?
A: Absolutely! I have a few more in the pipeline, but let me know which topics you’d like to see! I did a huge swimsuit haul from Amazon back in June – here are some of my favorites. As you know, I buy SO many of my press on nails from Amazon and some really great organization tools like this, this, and this as well!
Q: Can you share some more dupes or sales of typically higher prices items?
A: Sure! If you’re looking for some Golden Goose sales or dupes, look no further! There are some designer-like Apple Watch bands I found recently but I would love to share some more finds over the coming weeks so let me know what you want to see!
Q: How have you kept your skin in tact with the harsh summer weather and mask wearing?
A: I actually just shared a TikTok about some products that have been helping me deal with “mask-ne” (mask acne)! I can’t believe how much this cloth can make us break out! I mentioned it last week but some of the products I use during my normal skincare routine from TULA have been helping out a lot as well.
