Q&A Session
Recent DM Questions
Q: Any tips to stop overthinking?! Ugh.
A: This happens to me ALL THE TIME but you just need to recognize that your internal improv group in your head is coming up with crazy scenarios off of one tiny idea. I like to use the 5 years / 5 minutes method to deal with unnecessary anxiety and over thinking.
Q: Do you use dry shampoo on the days you don’t wash your hair? Favorites?
A: My hair is probably my favorite accessory – love a good simple hairstyle. Some of my favorite hair products come from Living Proof, and their dry shampoo is out of this world! It not only cleans but eliminates odors and oils that your hair gathers on a daily basis.
Q: I saw your TULA code the other day and wanted to use it, TULA favorites?
A: I can’t get enough of TULA – so much so that I think I need new bathroom storage just for their products. My favorite products of all time include this one, this one, and this one!
Q: I have wanted to start a blog for YEARS! How did you get started with yours?
A: It’s been such a long journey over 9 years but I can remember some of the early details so vividly! There’s so much to do before getting a URL, hosting and a blog theme so make sure you dive into why you want to start a blog and what you want to share first! Then it’s important to do your research on best methods for growing your blog because I will be the first in line to tell you, it is time consuming and takes great effort early on!
Q: Do you have a favorite brand of eye gel patches that you use?
A: I just posted these Ciate watermelon ones on stories the other day that I was testing out! They were super fun to try! I have to give a shoutout to my absolute favorites are are from Patchology and Derma e
Q: How is your feeding journey going with Harrison? Does he have any favorites yet?
A: OMG, he is ravenous! I can’t eat anything without him wanting a bite! He’s having a great time trying new things and thankfully hasn’t disliked many foods. Some of his staples include winter squash purée, pasta with marinara (the Ditalini shape because it’s easy to eat!), peas, raspberries, and yogurt. I’m actually putting together another post now with some of his more specific favorites and how I make them in these reusable pouches.
Q: What are your go-to stores for home decor?
A: Well if you know me, you know I can’t pass up a trip to HomeGoods and I am always checking out Bed Bath and Beyond for practical items! I have been loving what Target has had in stock lately as well – check out some more of my favorites here!
Q: Are you still tie-dying? Loved all of the looks you made!
A: I WISH! Having gone back to work full-time now, I am spread thin! I would love to get going with some tie-dying again because it was truly therapeutic. Between the watercolor dye, and outer-space dye I started a neutral theme so I have to keep going with it. Anyone know of any fun and neutral tie-dye ideas?
Q: Did you guys get married?
A: We have put things on hold since COVID unfortunately. We originally planned to elope in Mexico or Hawaii this September but with all of the uncertainty right now, it’s best to stay home! I’d rather wait until the world is in a better state.
