I am so excited to be back with Coffee Chats for all of you! The end of summer was hectic for us, but now that things have slowed down a bit, I am thrilled to have things slow down a bit. Thank you again, for the continued support and feedback! As our Lake Tahoe cabin The Tahoe A-Frame house is once again welcoming guests through AirBnb, I wanted to tackle some of the questions we regularly get about the space. If you’ve ever considered visiting Lake Tahoe, keep reading, this one will definitely interest you!

Q: Did you renovate the A-Frame yourself or was it how it is now when you bought?
A: We put countless hours into renovating the A-Frame in an effort to achieve its mid century modern look that it now has! It was a really fun project for Kevin and I to work on together, between making design decisions to picking fun decor items, it was really nice to collaborate on this as our first “baby” together!
Q: How can we reserve a weekend at your cabin in Lake Tahoe?
A: We are officially booked out through the rest of 2020, but there are openings as of now for 2021! We book our guests on AirBnb (or privately through instagram on exception basis) but will share last minute openings on our Instagram page.
Q: We are renting out the A-Frame in November and would love some of your favorite recommendations in the area?
A: One of the best parts about staying at the A-Frame is it’s secluded location. When we do venture up for a visit, it is always so wonderful to escape reality and have some peace and quiet. Our favorite things to do while we are in Lake Tahoe include countless hikes, cooking some of our favorite homemade dishes, and roasting s’mores by the campfire. I rounded up some of my favorite activities and places to visit in this post that I think all of our guests should read before they come for their stay!
Q: I absolutely LOVE your style when it comes to home decor! Do you have any advice or links to some of your items?
A: I’ve slowly shown bits of our house some blogs including, this one, this one, and this one but my pride and joy is our setup at the A-Frame! Renovating and then decorating this home was so much fun and I totally understand how people become addicted to home flipping! I shared ALL of our renovation and decor items from the A-Frame here.
Q: What is it like to be an AirBnb host? Is it challenging?
A: In short, no it is definitely not easy but it has been so much fun watching this little house become an escape and oasis for so many people who deserve it! We absolutely love getting messages from our guests who truly needed a break from the real world, and we could provide them with that. I’ve always been a huge fan of hosting, so we love to make each and every stay special, and we needed to find creative ways to do so without physically being there. We leave our famous brown butter cookies for our guests at check in, have everything ready if guests want to set the table for a beautiful dining experience, and implement all of the CDC guidelines for our cleanings in between guests!
Q: I live on the east coast but am DYING to come stay at the A-Frame one day. Can you give an inside tour soon to hold me over!
A: We would love to have you one day soon! We recently shared this sneak peek inside of the A-Frame living room and you can see some other features in this video, from when we took Harrison up for the first time! But our full reveal video from last year, is the best way to get a look around!
Q: I keep seeing you mention sheets from the cabin in Lake Tahoe but I always forget to swipe or screen shot. Could you share again please?
A: We absolutely swear by these sheets and everyone who stays at the A-Frame comments on them! I could not believe for $37 how incredible the quality was AND it had 105,000 reviews!
Q: What Christmas tree do you have at the cabin? I love the sparse look of it!
A: We have an entire blog post on minimalist Christmas trees here!
