Dress: Zara, similar from Alexander McQueen // Coat: Isabel Marant // Boots: Rag & Bone // Bag: TJ Maxx // Headphones: Master and Dynamic
I’ve had many different commutes throughout my career–driving 2 hours each way (ouch), getting on a plane, a quick subway ride, and everything in between. I’ve honed in on what are my essentials for a stress-free (or stress reduced?) commute to get you where you need to go, while looking polished.
I’m the poster girl for pencil dresses–I can’t get enough. This is my go-to look for a busy morning when I’m rushing off to meetings. It works because it is one piece and the hourglass, structured silhouette looks polished to a T. If I’m braving the elements (like I did today) I bring along a coat that is warm enough for outdoors and easily tucked away when I get inside so I’m not stuck with a bulky coat to carry around. And to finish it all off, shoes that help you get from point A to point B without giving you blisters–I’m a fan of these Rag & Bone booties because they give me enough of a heel but I can walk in them for miles.
Toss your laptop, phone, keys, headphones, and lipstick into a cute tote and you’re on your way!

I love this look! Pencil dresses are so chic and I love the boooties paired with it.
